There are many opportunities for involvement in ministries and activities at CC that provide fellowship, training, and service. Ministry opportunities include (but are not limited to) Core Groups, Worship, Missions, Children’s Church, Prayer, and Greeters. Every other year, the Men and Women alternate sharing a weekend away for extended teaching, prayer and fellowship.
Ministries
Children
Calvary Chapel Seattle is excited to have a church bursting with children! Our kids create one third of our congregation! Our goal is to love each child and to support them as they grow to know Jesus and live a strong Christian life. We strive to build relationships with our children and to provide a caring and safe environment for learning and fun.
· Our kindergarten through 5th grade children worship together, learn from the bible through skits and fun lessons, and meet in small groups to apply these learnings to their lives.
· Our preschool age children meet in small groups to play, worship, and learn together in fun, cheery classrooms full of activities and energetic teachers.
· Our toddlers play, play, play together in a wonderful space full of toys, activities, music, and loving, dedicated teachers.
· Our babies are cuddled and cared for in a safe, secure environment with plenty of infant toys and fun.
All of our teachers are hard working, dedicated, and Christ-centered. Additionally, they attend regular trainings and safety seminars, as well as, complete a comprehensive application and background check to ensure the safety of our children.
Small Groups
Calvary Chapel of Seattle has a long history of stressing the importance of small groups in the development of the Christian life. Nearly 80 percent of our Sunday attenders are members of small groups of people who meet in homes through out the region to study the word of God, pray for each other and fellowship together.Small groups have between six and 18 members. Some groups are for men, others for women and some are mixed. Each year we sponsor about 15 small groups which we call Core Groups — because they are at the core of our ministry of building up the believers to follow the Lord not only with head knowledge, but with an active life style of discipleship.
By meeting together with others consistently each week, we have a trusted group of friends who can hold us accountable to working towards our goals. It is a place for confession of sins and for the support that we need to change our behavior and mind to become the people that God intends. Cores are also a place for celebration as we share the good things that are experiencing in our lives.
Core group fellowship is like family. Here we rejoice in our relationships are believers committed to a life of purity and faithfulness to God.
If you are new to the church, you are welcome to attend one of our groups for a few meetings to see if you would like to be committed. If you are a member, we ask that you make a commitment to attend weekly so that the relationships will be strong and life affirming.
Don’t miss out. Core groups are wonderful places to experience the richness of what Christ brings to our lives when we are serious about following him with our whole hearts. Join a core and you will have a group of friends who will pray for you and know you well enough to trust with what is most important. You will experience love, acceptance and forgiveness.
College
We have a heart for college students and in order to care well for you in your journey of faith we have partnered with University Christian Fellowship [UCF] to help provide a space for you to live out what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.
UCF is a group of college students from all over Seattle who desire to follow God with all that they are. This is made a reality through three expressions.
BELONGING – PARTICIPATION – TRANSFORMATION
University Christian Fellowship [UCF] is an Associated Student group at the University of Washington – Seattle campus but serves and works with students from all over the greater Seattle area.
UCF is part of a national student movement called Chi Alpha. Chi Alpha is a college student movement of the Assemblies of God. However, our group on campus is inter-denominational. Regionally UCF is part of a group called Puget Sound Chi Alpha who’s goal is to establish ministry groups on all forty-five college campuses in the greater Puget Sound Area.

Music
The purpose of the Music Ministry is to lead our congregation into authentic praise of God in which we worship “in spirit and truth” (that is, with both our hearts and heads, John 4:23). We believe that we were created “for the praise of [God's] glory” (Eph. 1:12), and that God is present by the Spirit when we gather as a holy temple (Ephesians 2:22). The music team’s role begins musically and is aimed at making our worship service participative and responsive to God’s leading.
