Pastoral Lead Position
We are looking for someone to join our strong pastoral staff in a leadership role, as we grow in our vision of “being” the church (versus “doing” church services/programs) to make a meaningful difference in our world for Christ, both corporately and individually. We want the lead pastor to be a highly relational “people person” with an entrepreneurial spirit, who can effectively steward the resources of the church (including staff, congregation and the building) toward the vision set by the elder board. We are looking for someone to help transform us as individuals and us as a corporate body from living compartmentalized lives to a more authentic and holistically integrated Christian lifestyle – where we invite Christ into our existing circles of activities, wherever we are. Having recently moved into and renovated a large space just south of Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle (including a gym, offices and classrooms), a major part of the lead pastor’s role will be guiding us into innovative ways of utilizing our space in a missional, action-oriented, community-center model of meeting local neighborhood needs. The lead pastor will oversee the facilities, will develop relationships with users of the facilities and other community groups, will coordinate/supervise staff and congregation activities to ensure unified efforts, and will be responsible to oversee all and do some of the congregational teaching, and other church communications.
